Personal Thoughts:

I loooove Rena!! I started watching the series and became obsessed with it and I was lucky enough to get to be a part of my friends' group who happened to be doing Shion, Keiichi, and Rika at a con coming up! :)

The white dress was fairly simple and I used a lot of leftover fabric so I ended up only having to spend less than $15 on the entire costume XD The white dress is made of white twill and I made it by separating the top and the skirt since I wanted the skirt to be circular. The ribbons, wristbands and collar are made of broadcloth, and the black sleeve ends are made of twill as well. The hat is the same fabric as the dress and lined with black maxi piping (finally able to figure out what they're used for! I think). Otherwise, I'm wearing my friend's Yui wig and some black thigh-highs and boots I already had. Yay for recycling cosplays parts! :) The cleaver is a machete I bought at Party City since the one I made of clay wasn't dry and almost broke in half ;A;

The hat was the most challenging. I used an online tutorial for how to make a beret, and it would've been okay had I not lined it with the maxi piping, which made it really wrinkly and looked like a chef hat. So I had to tinker with it, cut parts out of it to make it smaller and ended up with the one I have. I'm pretty happy with it! I hope it doesn't look good only to me because I stared at it on top of my head for so long >u<;;;

Overall, fun cosplay! I really love Rena so I'd love to wear it again! It was really comfy too! The only downside is since it's all white, you can see it if you get it dirty from anything TAT But it shouldn't be that hard to wash either so it's okay!
