Personal Thoughts:

I made the costumes for Kyou and Ryou Fujibayashi for our huge CLANNAD group for MomoCon! We basically had all the characters (Nagisa, Tomoya, Sunohara, Kyou, Ryou, Tomoyo, Kotomi and Fuuko) and some multiples so our group ended up being huge! It was a lot of fun and I'd like to thank our Nagisa for inviting me and my boyfriend to join the group!

I really like the design of the costumes and so I had a lot of fun making it. Everyone in our group decided to buy the uniform from the same site for uniformity, but me being poor that I am, opted for making my own. I also wanted to make it closely resemble the actual art as possible so I scrutinized it while I watched it and took a lot of time designing out all the details. I also had to try to make it match the uniforms that everyone else got too, so the color ended up being slightly off from the anime, but I still really like the colors.

For the top, I used camel-colored suiting and twill for the sailor collar and sleeve ends. The lines in the sailor collar are made of ribbons and the lines on the sleeves are wide bias tape. I especially likes how the sleeves are on the costume so I concentrated a lot on trying to make it accurate by making it baggy and have the red stripe on the end cover the edge and not be just a line (does that make sense?? ;A;). I ordered the third-year school patches from eBay and sewed it on a pocket, and for the side pockets I just made some fakes ones lol. I also wanted to make the top fitted and longer to where it covers most of the butt part because I thought it was really cute the way the uniforms look in the anime >w< The skirt is made of broadcloth, which I knew was gonna be an awful choice but I had to keep it cheap >.< Since I had to make two, one for Kyou and one for my boyfriend's Ryou, I basically experimented with mine and then made a copy of it for his, so his ended up looking way better than mine XDDD As for the wigs, I cut and styled both mine and his; the wig seller sent me the wrong wig for Ryou so I had to work with the extra short one but I'm glad that worked out! Overall it was a fun project and I really liked wearing it!! :D
