Construction Details:

Made from stretch poplin and cotton. Tights were also made from scratch from a basic knit. Everything was patterend myself except the trunk part of the top, it was based on a commercial pattern. I had to alter it and completely change the sleeves and add collars to it so it's pretty unrecognizable. I'm oddly growing fond of making ruffles...

This costume is kind of a work in progress, I haven't at much time to work on cosplay lately. I still need to get her little headband on there, the details on the bottom of her braids and to make the shield and soul gem. All the photos I have are from Colossalcon where I had forgotten my neck bow :< So that's why it's missing in the photos I have so far.

Personal Thoughts:

It has been years since I watched an anime all the way through. I love every character in Madoka in some way but Homura is THE BEST. I deceided to do Moemura because the wig is easier to maintain and I found the perfect reading glasses for it. I am totally blind while wearing them, but it's worth it lol. I originally made her for Tekkoshocon since the theme in 2012 was time travel!

I lost alot of weight while working on it and so it fits kind of loose >.>

I didn't do anything except cut bangs into it. Thanks to Soni for the help there!

Wig Review

It's really awesome for a pre-pigtailed wig. Just the right size with the clips on the inside which I love. Don't have to use any pins to keep it on and I can fit all my hair under it. It was a little pricey, but I'm used to buying ebay wigs so....yeah.
