About this Costume
Construction Details:
Chibik3ro suggested we do a Splicer group at AN 2012 after he made a Splicer costume for Con-G. Best group idea ever!!! XD I purchased a blue dress on eBay and had to alter it quite a bit to get it to fit me.

I added rips and fake blood, dirt and tea staining to my dress. The tea staining didn't really take and I had to add more red acrylic paint and more rips after AN because they didn't really show up that well in photos.

I decided to make a cat mask as I loved the mask shape and my friend Adrien's roommate had an old plastic cat mask that she gave me to use. Adrien helped me break it up and I used clay mache to add the details to it after we painted it black. I then used gold leaf and gold paint to highlight the details. The whiskers are just pipe cleaners. I had to adjust the mask after AN as it sat a little low on my face.

I love how this outfit came together! It's an original design as most of the group didn't really follow Splicer character models, but just went with formal wear of the era. I somewhat based my outfit on the Baby Jane Splicer model, and I'm happy with the result!
Personal Thoughts:
I love BioShock and I've wanted to Cosplay from it for years. I'm so glad that I was able to get together with my friends and have a fantastic group experience at Anime North.
