About this Costume
- Construction Details:
-
This was a total last minute decision as I originally was going to do another cosplay for the year but around 2 months before the con I finally owned the game, so I got really into it.
Made the pattern and cosplay myself, using a navy cotton sateen for the self and navy polyester lining.
The stripes were made by fabric paint but they turned out really ugly on the sailor collar.
I bought a plain gold headband and black ribbon and just put them together using fabric-tac. The belt, shoes, and bracelets were bought but I painted the gauntlet with acrylic to get the stripes.
Wig is by Epic Cosplay wigs.
I will be redoing this cosplay due to dedicating myself to having a series of Miss Aubrey costumes for 2013. - Personal Thoughts:
- Miss Aubrey is so fab, beautiful, and confident. I'm probably the most like her out of all the DC characters but I still want to be like her (maybe less cocky).
I like all of her variations and her dancing style too, so hopefully I pulled her off well.
Here's a video someone recorded of me playing DC2 at Fanime 2012! It was somewhat hard dancing in my cosplay because I accidentally made the shorts too tight, so definitely needs to be considered for the redo:

- Wig Review
- It has a natural looking shine and love the color, it was pretty close to Miss Aubrey's.
I'm thinking of styling the wig a bit later on so that I can get more curls near the crown.
