Construction Details:

I used a swimsuit I already had to make a pattern and then altered the pattern to be like the swimsuit in the artwork. I layered the black behind the white look much nicer and I added a strapless bra to the swimsuit to make me look a little more "Ryoko Endowed" in a swimsuit.

The 'Power Gem' earring is a wooden bead, some fishing wire and a stud earring all painted with the same color nail polish as my finger nails. I trimmed a special set of eyelashes to try and get that one long lash effect and the ears are bought. The contacts are Twilight Brown Princess lenses from Pinky Paradise.

The main part of this costume is the wig.

Personal Thoughts:

OMG! Ryoko is soooo me! I love her so much. I can't wait to make a full costume but I'm sooooo happy I got to make a fan service costume too. Tenchi is all about the fan service :D

(Just wanted to add that I made the strapless bathing suit so I could take perv-y fake nude photos.

Styling Notes

Was my first spiked wig. I took two Jareth's in Powder Blue and wefted them together. I used the top of the 2nd Jareth in pieces to fill out to the top with more spikes. All the spikes were sectioned off before a ton of time was spent hair drying and hair spraying each spike. I wanted them to take a beating but not look like plastic. The tips were glued to hold the spikes better. I can bat this wig around and they spikes stay looking pretty clean. I left the bangs unspiked doe a more natural look and all the spikes are heading in the same direction to be over Ryoko's left shoulder, without being to left heavy so that the wig doesn't fall off. The side bangs are Short Wefts.
