Construction Details:

The dye job on the skirt was experimentation at its finest. I used a plain pink sateen and dipped it in a dye bath in my shower stall until, bit by bit, it looked how I wanted it to look. I then wrung it out in various places to get the mottled appearance. I bought very few new materials for this - I had almost everything on-hand. The Bowser brooch is Model Magic that I sculpted, dried, spray-painted black, and then rubbed Rub N Buff in antique gold on. I buffed it to that brilliant shine - I very much like how it came out!

Personal Thoughts:

While Malon is a character of small stature, I found the design to translate relatively easily to my size. The costume was comfortable and easy to wear!
