About this Costume
Construction Details:
I draped the entire outfit. The jacket was made with White Stretch Poplin (this made the sleeves super tight, but moveable, and was strong enough to give the sleeves that extra poof), and outlined in double-folded bias tape. The leotard was made from spandex, and the black belt was made with knit. The hakama was made with white cotton (with a pattern I found online), and the skirt made with stretch poplin as well, again with double-folded bias tape. The boots were bought from Target (they were originally black) and the white stripes were painted on. And last were the hairpins, they were bought at an anime store.
Personal Thoughts:
This was the first costume I ever made. And I don't think I'll ever grow tired of it.
