About this Costume
Construction Details:
This costume was an exercise in faking existing clothing. Thanks to the brilliant folks at WearSherlock and Sherlockology, I know exactly what Andrew Scott was wearing. On the down side, he was wearing an $800 men's suit, a $150 shirt, and a $200 necktie. WELP.

The suit: is bespoke by a favorite tailor of mine and was designed to simulate the original Westwood version. I'm considering getting it remade as the color turned out a bit darker than the swatch (curse dye batch variations!) and I mistakenly asked for one back vent instead of two: I accidentally used a different season of the Westwood suit for vent reference. I replaced the buttons with some silly approximates of the iconic VW button (I failed miserably but they photograph well!) and took in the pants hems a touch.

The shirt was easy: I took apart the collar of my old Shizu shirt, rounded the points, and stuck it back together. Easy.

The tie: I'm still looking for the bleeding Alexander McQueen tie, but it's an older season so finding it has been difficult. I bought and altered one that's in the right colors, but eh...

Hair: It's a half wig! I keep bangs, so I slicked them back up and over the short half wig. Still looking for a decent lace-front...
Personal Thoughts:
Westwood! I hate Jim. I love hating Jim. I couldn't NOT cosplay him.
