Construction Details:: Believe it or not, this costume was much easier to construct than the Animation Courtyard dress...Didn't have to draw a bunch of little Figments, haha. The skirt's base is a foamie circle. The bodice pieces also have foamie and plastic mesh inserts. The leggings and arm-bracers were easy to make, but kinda dizzying to sew!
Personal Thoughts:: Like my Animation Courtyard dress, this is another design I came up with for my senior project (a parade commemorating Walt Disney World's 40th). EPCOT is my favorite park and my favorite structure there is the one in the center of Future World. I also made this to coincide with Epcot's 30th anniversary!
In my original design, this costume had a huge backpiece, but when that didn't work out the way I wanted it to, I used the umbrella idea that I had from a rough concept. It makes a little more sense than the backpiece, tho...afterall, the structure this is based on looks like an umbrella!
