Construction Details:

Jacket was patterned from scratch for him. It's a kind of faux-linen which I thought would be fitting for Tenchi's farmer outfit. I didn't want to make him a whole undershirt for comfort, so I made a faux turtleneck collar and sleeves to pin to a regular t-shirt underneath. The jeans and belt are his own. It was pretty funny that Tenchi wears a black belt with a silver buckle like this, but my boyfriend's belt is Kenneth Cole or something. I'm like... hmm not a farmer belt BUT OKAY. :p

Personal Thoughts:

My boyfriend is happy to cosplay with me if he doesn't have to wear make up, or wear a wig, haha! Which is fine with me because he made such a great Tenchi for me! <3 He really enjoyed wearing this costume, and I'm glad. Tenchi Muyo is one of my all time favorite animes, and I love the dynamic between Ryoko ad Tenchi. It's only his second cosplay ever and I hope we can find more characters he'll enjoy doing! c:
