Construction Details:

This costume didn't take me that long to make, it was actually fun since I got to try some new things (like working with wonderflex a little!)

I used a blouse pattern and altered it heavily so that it would have the correct hem, collar and sleeves (which I drafted myself). For the shorts I based them off a pattern and then altered it until it fit the way I wanted. The material was a bit hard to work with but I figured it out. I did a hand-stitched hem so that the edge looked nice and clean. I made the armbands out of the same materials as the shorts. I couldn't find badges that I liked for the costume so I made them myself out of wonderflex (it was my first time working with it).
The rest of the pieces for the costume were bought and altered if necessary (like the hat). I was so excited that I found socks that were the right colors/stripes!

Personal Thoughts:

This isn't normally the type of outfit I like doing, but I thought it would be fun to do for last Halloween and then I could also wear it to a convention. I want to work out some more before I wear it again, but I really do like it! I'm just not totally comfortable with showing my stomach at this point haha
