About this Costume
Construction Details:
I did not use a pattern for the apron or dress. I found a pattern online for a doll's nurse hat and enlarged it to make my hat :) The bow has bail wire inside to keep its shape. I bought the shoes and petticoats.
Personal Thoughts:
I have been a Pokemon fan since sixth grade, it was about time I cosplayed from it!

Styling Notes
I straightened the wig with hot water, then put it into pigtails at the base of the neck. I took this rope stuff that I guess is supposed to be used in curtains and made the two hair loops. I split each pigtail in half and wrapped it around the rope stuff starting at the top of each side and meeting at the bottom in the middle. I hot glued the hair in the backside of the ropes and used tons of hair gel to get the hair to stay in place. I sewed the hat to the top of the wig.
Wig Review
I am so happy with how this wig came out. It is a little back heavy and takes a good wig cap and a bunch of bobby pins to wear. It is comfortable. Some people think the color of the hair is too bright but Nurse Joy's hair is in between the two shades of pink this wig comes in, so I chose to just go with the brighter one, I think it looks better with the outfit than the duller pink would have.
