Construction Details:

Yikes so I wanted to make this super fancy like the fanart it came from so I bought all these really nice silk fabrics. The brocade was a lucky find-- I wasn't expecting to find something nice in the colour I needed. Patterning was... interesting. I wanted to start with a legit hanbok pattern so I could modify it accordingly but for some reason the night I was doing it I was really REALLY stupid and it took me like five hours to figure out because none of the references I could find at the time were good enough. Of course, the week after when I was halfway through sewing the damn thing I found an authentic pattern online. 8|;;

All the skirts were pretty straightforward though as they're basically giant gathered rectangles, and the wristcuffs were also pretty easy. I made really amazing shoe covers too but I have no good pictures of them yet (because I need to learn how to pose in this still sob). ;___; The hat is all beaded by hand and has loops so I can pin it to my head and the ears are craft foam, painted felt, and marabou feathers mounted on a headband.

Personal Thoughts:

I am basically a walking cupcake aegyo monster in this. Bbuing bbuing indeed.

Styling Notes

I cut bangs in it and that was it. I forgot to put the pigtails in tho, which I'll do the next time I wear her. .__.;
