Construction Details:

The silver bands are all made from craft foam covered in tubes of silver fabric. The wing jacket is made from white polar fleece and the feather boas were hand stitched on. The wings themselves are stuffed with green foam and fiberfill. The tail which really can't be seen in any pictures is constructed from the fleece as well, and was stuffed and sewn to the body suit with a wire inside for support. The cage needs to be redone, and was a rush job that my boyfriend and I made a few days before Katsucon, but it is made from glue hardened and heat shaped craft foam and silver spray paint.

The boots were purchased and then painted to look like talons. The bodysuit and gloves were also purchased.

Personal Thoughts:

This was a very fun costume to make. Wasn't too hard, but as with all gijinkas, you have to get creative in terms of construction.

I bought this wig as an emergency back up because my styled wig did not make it down to the convention.

Nice and thick, but the fibers are a bit rough for my taste.
