Construction Details:

RUFFLES! The front ruffles were an interesting little issue to work through, but I managed by sewing the tiered, horizontal ruffles to a pie-shaped piece of matching fabric and then adding that to the dress. The fabric is a nice, almost velvet-like material, that I found after I spent quite a bit of money on stuff from Joann. :( Go figure.
Totally worth it though, not gonna lie.

Boots were an existing pair of wedge heel suede boots I had sitting around, so I managed to make my first pair of boot covers to make them work. I know the wedge is kinda useless and inaccurate, but hey, I didn't have to go buy a new pair of boots!
The soul gem was a nice trial and error as well. I guess making silicone molds of custom shapes don't end up yielding the same nice and smooth results as the plastic molds. So, yeah, custom shaped resin piece to fit my sizing and the keyhole in the dress and a light sculpy bedding for it. It all stays on with fashion tape and is VERY light weight.
Black waist thingy is just a modified waist cincher and the skirt really needs redoing in some sort of non-cotton fabric. Pleats are a BITCH to keep nice under all those weird layers.
The cuffs were the only part that got me stuck, but thats ONLY due to the button color; white or black?!? No art, figures, or screens were ever consistent.
So, I went with black. :X

Personal Thoughts:

I loooove this costume. It was one of those "MUST DO THIS NOW." type things and I adore Kyoko as a character and I don't think I need to go into all my scary weeb feels for this show. :

Styling Notes

The wig was incredibly last minute. All I was able to do was trim the bangs enough to see. I still need to mess with the ponytail poof and get the fringe how it should be.

Wig Review

The wefting showed through quite a bit which was a bit irritating, but the color and the fiber was really nice.
