Construction Details:

ah lets see. I made everything except the gloves which I purchased at some local costume store along with the go go boots which I altered. I really loved this costume except for the fact that it was made from a combination of silk and satin. I prefer more matte fabrics they look better in photo's. Either way though I don't think I could have possibly been much more accurate then I was I practically got every little detail down when doing this costume and if I had more time it would have been perfect. Maybe someday I will re-do it but for now this costume is retired and has been sold off to someone who I'm sure love's it.

Personal Thoughts:

I initially first started this costume out just for the heck of it to be in a sailor moon group. I figured hey everyone knew sailor moon as a kid I kind of want to bring that happy impact back to people during a con. Plus to it was my friend's idea and I really wanted to do this with her and for her. Then during the construction of this costume I figured I should try reading the sailor moon manga as i knew pretty much nothing about it except for magical transforming girls. I then realized hey there is a deeper meaning to this series, granted you read the Japanese version and I really enjoyed it. I also fell in love with a few of the char's one of them happened to be Saturn so I'm glad I picked her.
