Construction Details:

Redrafted my kimono pattern completely for this, the white under kimono is cotton and I dyed it, fun time..I made a huge mess. Made the black kimono out of crepe (I absolutely love working with it bc it ends up very wrinkle resistant) pretty red fabric for the crows, of which I cut out 24 of the 32 used my brother helped me when my hand wend numb and I wanted to finish piecing together, and used heat n bond. Some I attached before I pieced it together bc I wanted them under the seams, especially in the sleeves. I made a corset obi, literally made a white corset first then covered it with the purple and gold fabric. It has 14 flat 8mm bones and 2 12 mm. The draping part of the obi is a separate piece, cut it out, attached appliques then sewed it together, used a lot of interfacing. I don't work well with fabric paint which I tried but didn't like, I like working with appliques much better.

Not really hard just a little tedious to make

Personal Thoughts:

I love me some polyester....it is wrinkle resistant
