About this Costume
- Construction Details:
-
How hard is it to find a double breasted black blazer? SERIOUSLY. I decided about 3 days before the event to cos Misaki, so I went to my black hole of the basement and found some fabric in the basement that would work for the skirt and tried to find a double breasted jacket. But no matter how hard I looked, couldn't find one. So I took a single and moved the button over to do a make-shift double.
- Personal Thoughts:
- I had surgery on my left eye about two weeks before SpringFest. Ayli had introduced the series to me because the fact that Misaki also had her left eye covered. Since I was trying to give my eye as much time to heal as possible... bang.

- I trimmed a 29" long wig into a bob cut with a pair of thinning scissors. That's why it took so long.
- Wig Review
- Back during NYAF 2011, when I was working for the Madoka promo, I realized too late (aka at the con center) that I had grabbed the wrong wig on the way out. So I had to run into the AA and buy the first long black wig I see.
So now I have a extra long black wig that I didn't really like. Not because of the wig, it's because it's BLACK and THICK and it's too heavy for my small face. So I tried to sell it.
Then when I decided to cosplay Misaki with only 3 days to spare, and that it would cost more for me to sell the long wig and then buy a short wig. It was a no DUH to just cutting the wig down. Except I had very little experience in trimming down so much so I dared not use a pair of scissors that make the cut so... final. So yea, I styled the entire wig with a pair of thinning scissors. My hand was VERY sore after that.
