Construction Details:

The cape is a straight to bias pattern with the bias falling over the shoulder to allow the cape to drape. It has a horsehair hem (I found blue horsehair, awww yeah) and all the seams are finished as opposed to a lining. The bodysuit is just a lightweight spandex.

The belt, wrist and broach pieces are plastic ornaments painted on the inside. Their base is medical tubing that is held together with rubber stoppers and super glue. Its a technique we used at work for some acrobat costumes that begged to be given other applications. Its incredibly light weight because every piece is hollow, so the belt doesn't fall off my hips.

Personal Thoughts:

Oh wow I have been meaning to make this costume since like, um forever. Raven has long been one of my favorite comic characters. She is moody and frowny but totally BAMF. Plus her designs are usually sleek, dark and made of awesome.

Also I get to make all the frowny faces I want and still be in character. Bonus.
