The wig is a New Look Bob in Fire Red (a great color for manga Sakura!). It was trimmed and the antennae styled at the top with hair glue and strong hair spray. The hat was a good guess, 3 pieces, interfacing, and white bias tape. The tassels and braids were made from black embroidery floss and yarn. The jacket, made from a black twill, was the most difficult part. I started with a pattern and altered it. It's fully lined. The pink trim was cut in the curved shape to match the cut of the jacket, and carefully sewn and topstitched down. It closes with hooks and eyes. The star is a piece of wood painted with metallic gold paint and attaches with a pinback. I'm actually wearing a pair of tights on my arms! The gloves were also made from scratch and difficult, and don't have the best fit due to the thick non stretch fabric. The skirt (actually, it's more like an empire dress underneath) is two layers; bottom layer of crepe, and top layer of chiffon. Both layers are pleated and the sheer top layer is finished with a rolled hem. Black tights are worn. The shoes are covers sewn over an inexpensive canvas shoe, attached with a staple gun. The staff was made from a dowel rod base and Paperclay details. The gems are glass and set into the clay. For the head, I started with metal rings and sculpted Paperclay over them. The star is a lucky find Christmas ornament. The wings are doll wings I believe, cut in half and glued on either side. The head screws into the dowel rod.
