Construction Details:: Everything was made by me from scratch. I drafted my own pattern for the suit. It has 3 layers of fabric - bridal satin, twill, and basic cotton. All layers were stitched-in-the-ditch together by hand. There are 10 spiral steel bones, 5 flat stays, as well as a waist tape to provide some support and cinch me in. At the back is the lapped zipper closure. I even made the zipper guard just like the actual Playboy bunny outfit. The bunny ears were made of the same satin I used for the suit and wire edge interfacing then attached to a satin-covered headband. The collar has a working button closure and was constructed like a regular shirt collar with the stand and wing. I also made the buttons for the cuffs because I couldn't find the buttons I like. The accessories were patterned by Blanko.
Personal Thoughts:: My first attempt at a bunny suit and I'm happy with how this suit turned out. This costume is so different from what I'm used to. I'm a sucker for ruffles/laces/frills. This outfit has none of those, except a single bow!
