First of all, I love this show! It's so quirky and cute. Superhero rabbit girls? Yes please! I decided to join Otakitty's Mina group as Mina Satsuki.
I made the army vest out of camo print fabric that was originally brownish and dyed a deeper green color. I sewed in little pockets to hold the bullets on the chest. The shorts were made using a 4-way stretch vinyl in a matte black finish, which was some very unique fabric! I love the look of this stuff. The blue accessories, like the boot covers, belts, headband, and ears were all made using 2-way stretch blue vinyl. I punched grommets into the boot covers and added white ribbon laces. The ears are sewn into the back of the wig, and have plastic sheeting and stuffing inside to hold them up and give them a little dimension. I can also curl the ears with the plastic sheeting inside, after a little bending it holds its shape pretty well for a while. All the blueberries are styrofoam balls, covered in some caulk and several coats of paint and clear sealant. I glued velcro onto the backs of them so that I could remove them for storage. The wig was originally a super curly wig from a party store, but the fibers are very thick and coarse and not too terribly shiny. After trimming and styling it holds the flip shape very well.
The bazooka is my first honest try at propmaking. I am pretty new to it! I used a PVC pipe for the base, with a pipe attachment at one end for the bottom and the rim from a Chinese food take-out bowl as the barrel opening. The other details are foam sheeting cut into shapes and Model Magic, both sealed and spray painted with auto body primer and silver paint. I drilled holes into the body of the bazooka and added two metal attachments for the strap. I weathered the entire thing with black acrylic paint and added a finishing coat of clear matte sealant spray.
