Construction Details:

Shirt was some kind of quilting cotton. The bodice was mostly frankensteined from a commercial pattern, and I modified the yoke into it, as well as the sleeves. Collar was evil and needs to be remade entirely. Fake white cuffs are underneath the sleeve wrists.

Pinafore/jumper/dress was sateen, because it had a smooth drape and wasn't very see-through. I draped the mockup, and tweaked from there. It opens in the back via buttons. (Seriously? Buttons in the back? Designers, she kind of had no friends, so how in the world did she get manage to get dressed every day?) Sash is all one length, and the lace currently hides most of the raw edges that my serger decided to die on.

Rose broach was sculpted by a dear friend, shoes and socks purchased.

Personal Thoughts:

I've wanted to cosplay as some iteration of Jennifer since late '07. Her story hits a lot closer to home now than when I first played RoR, so I'm glad I finally got to do her. It was also fun to cosplay someone who shares my name, and is about as timid as I can be.

Styling Notes

Still need to trim it some, and give the bangs more definition. The dye bath turned it more orange than dirty(filthy) blonde, so I have to figure that out, too.

Wig Review

There was So. Much. Fiber. in this wig's bangs (it kind of killed my vacuum cleaner). Also very comfortable to wear!
