Construction Details:

The leotard is a 4-way stretch spandex from Fabrics R Us and was sewn up with zag stitch (naturally). Sailor collar, skirts, and glove rolls are casa satin. Glove rolls are Wright's cording from Joanns covered in casa satin and sewn using the zipper foot on machine. Sailor collar pattern is the same as my Sailor Mars collar pattern. Skirt is a simple circle skirt then it was hand pleated with a front box pleat, followed by outward knife pleats. "Belt" is made out of additional casa satin and satin ribbon with heavy interfacing inside. Sleeves are made out of flexible plastic (yes, I said PLASTIC), covered with sparkly iridescent organza. Choker is grosgrain ribbon. Cutie mark earrings and necklace charm were printed out by VideoGirlC and then "shrinky drinked" by Usako Minako. Cutie Mark *SPARKLE* brooches were all made by me using sparkle vinyl; backed with foamies. Makeshift wands were made by me as well. Boots purchased from Ebay. Also, re-used my Sailor Mars tiara since Rainbow Dash had a red gem tiara lol. In the design, there were wings in the back where a bow would normally be; but since Rainbow Dash is a Pegasus, naturally there would be wings. Wings are made out of foamies and floral wire, attached with a huge snap.

You know, it wasn't until AFTER I ordered Arda's Ziggy wig, that I noticed that Rainbow Dash's hair starts with Red from the top with purple at the bottom; this wig is the exact opposite, but it is STILL a nice wig regardless :).

Personal Thoughts:

This design is by YoukaiYume on Deviant Art. Everyone is doing a "human" like version of the ponies, why not a sailor version?! LOL!

Styling Notes

I spiked some of the bangs because I thought it would look 20% cooler; then pulled it into a pony tail like in the art image.
