Construction Details:

Went with a dark navy color for coat and lining based on how it looks and shows in the manga and in the anime. Modified dress shirt pattern. Made spandex shorts and was able to use my gf's bias tape maker so that the red all matches together. Followed a tutorial from ryuuraigeki on LJ for clean bias tape corners. Made mock-ups for the cuffs, pockets, and collar. Circle skirt cut for shimmer chiffon underskirt. Green jewel set into a gold button and attached to a flat back craft pin and connected to additional gold beads and rope with gold jewelry wire. Epaulette are styrofoam covered in rigid wrap, smoothed out, and spray painted then attached with small upholstry rope cording and matching dark blue foam sheet base. Functional gold rose buttons with snaps between each button so no gaps. Forgot about WeLoveColors and SockDreams so ended up with too dark ones from Target. :/ However, perfect and great shoes off of ebay after looking around 100 pages. Really not all satisfied with the Epaulettes, but not too bad as I'm not an armor/prop person and they managed to stay on really well with sela tape.

Personal Thoughts:

Done for WCS, but unfortunately things didn't go as planned. So, I'm gonna remake that, right?
