About this Costume
- Construction Details:
-
I used 4-way stretch velvet for the bodysuit and leg things. The gold is 2 way stretch vinyl from spandexworld. It's kind of frustrating to work with lol!
For the keys, I made a mold of a real key, and casted them in liquid plastic, and painted them~
The armor has a wonderflex base (first time working with the stuff, I'm not very good at it ^^;), then a layer of foamie on top with vinyl ironed on to it. Parts of it I like, parts of it I messed up on. I need to tweak the top part of the armor a little bit for next time. - Personal Thoughts:
- Drill, baby, drill!

- Styling Notes
- I did some chatting with Sonteen to get an idea of where to start with this wig, and also checked out classe wig's drill tutorial~ big thanks to her for that! The drills are 12 gauge wire, sandwiched between some clear packing tape, which was cut to size for the drill. I trimmed the lower layers of the wig, and used that hair for the underside of the drills. I glued it to the packing tape with fabritac glue. once that was one, I inserted it into the wefts of the wig, folded it over, and then shaped it into the spiral shape I needed. Then I used the upper layers of the wig and glued it to the outside of the drill with fabritac glue. I did use some watered down elmer's glue for smoothing out the inside of the drill a little and some got 2b glued for the outside. It's a pretty heavy wig but it's not uncomfortable for the most part!
