About this Costume
Construction Details:
So... not really anything on the order of construction here. I'd originally set out to put together a Vampires of Venice Amy Pond, but the day before Gallifrey, I'd decided that I hated what I had and wore this instead.
The shirt and shoes were loaned to me by Aimee, and I'd had the skirt and the tights. I found a watch and there's an 'A' pendant in there somewhere.
Personal Thoughts:
Most. Comfortable. Costume. Ever. And comfortable costumes that have a watch as part of the costume? A++
Wig Details
Wig Brand
Arda Wigs
Wig Name
Le Tigre Long
Original Color:
015 Dark Copper Red
Styling Time
2 hours?
Wig Quality Rating
4 / 5.00
Styling Notes
I cut several inches off the wig, and curled what was left, which worked to varying degrees. The best method seemed to be saturating the hair with hairspray, rolling it up in small velcro rollers, hitting it with a hairdryer for several minutes, then making sure it was cool and dry before removing the rollers.
Wig Review
I hadn't had much experience with curling wigs, but this took to it reasonably well. I wouldn't recommend the Le Tigre for other Amy cosplayers, now that the Matilda comes in Dark Copper Red (SO wish that had been available when I was shopping for an Amy wig) but it's a really nice, super thick and versatile wig.
