Construction Details:

The dress is made from interlock knit (I think; I'll have to check) and Simplicity E2129. The cape is two parts, the cape and the hood, made from black ponte knit with a modified version of McCall's M5954. I plan on making the shoulders out of Wonderflex and more ponte knit, bringing the cape up to three pieces. They'll fit together with heavy-duty snaps.
Mask: I got a mask base from a craft store and covered it with a layer of Model Magic Fusion, then alternated layers of decoupaged tissue paper and gesso to smooth it out. The design was painted on by hand, and the gem is a superglued-on fishtank rock.
Shoes: Bought some clogs from a thrift store and painted them magenta with Angelus leather paint.
Gloves: I modified a pair of black fingerless gloves (bought from Sock Dreams) to fit me around the wrists better. The gold part is made of a sewn-on strip of Fosshape and high-temp hot glue that I painted gold and sealed.
That's pretty much it!

Oh man. Oh. Man. I get to be intimidating on purpose for once!!

Back when 5D\'s was first airing, I didn\'t think I\'d like Aki. Aaaand then this crazy-shouldered angry thing showed up and I couldn\'t help wanting to learn more about her. At this point, BRW-Aki is probably one of the most polarizing versions, but I don\'t care, I love her no matter what mental state she\'s in. (heh)

Styling Notes

All I really had to do was take a hair straightener to the part that hangs in front of my shoulders and tuck the bangs behind my ears.
