Construction Details:

Made this whole costume (wig and all!) in 12 hours the day before Ohayocon 2010. Since it was so last minute, I didn't make the dress exactly how I wanted to (which would have been with full paneling as her renders suggest) so instead I just sewed grey "seams" to suggest the panels.



The dress is made of a cotton twill. I wanted something denim-like and I was able to mimic the "raw" edge at the top hem of her dress. I made custom shoulder strap fastenings out of wire and buttons. The pockets on the back are functional and SO SO handy! haha I also sculpted the necklace and zipper pull from paper clay and painted them with metallic enamel.



The wig only took an hour and a half and was just heat formed and got2b freeze sprayed to death! It's definitely my favorite part of the costume! ^^

Personal Thoughts:

I loved every minute of wearing this costume! It was comfy, fast, and easy!! I've been wanting to cosplay something from FF8 for years and Selphie was an obvious and fitting choice for me. I've always wanted a little yellow dress too! XD

Got2b Freeze Spray and warm setting on hair dryer will save your life!!

Wig Review

Sadly it got a little crushed during goodbye hugs and transit home >< but nothing a little brush out and hair spray can't fix =)
