Construction Details:

When I set out to make this senshi costume, I wanted to make differently then how I have made all my other senshi costumes in the past. I wanted everything to be cleaner, more thought out, and more of one piece. I always wanted to try a more anime style skirt this time too. I first started this back in august, but soon realized that trying to pattern it, work out kinks, work a full time job, and try to make two at once was way too much for me. I ran into things I didn't like about it so I put aside for several months. I finally picked it back up in Jan. to finish it.

The fabrics used are a heavy weight spandex for the body suit, light weight spandex for hip rolls, panties, sleeve toppers and sleeves, casa satin for the skirt, ankle straps, bows and collar. I also used bating for making all my stuff poofy instead of fiberfill like I have in the past. I found it gives a more uniform puff over my older methods. Tiara was purchased online. Wig is the same from my previous Venus costume. Shoes were black and painted to match. Bottoms of gloves were purchased and toppers made and sewn on top.

Personal Thoughts:

Now that I have made this one I know what I need to tweak on my next one. There are still a few things I don't care for on this version that aren't necessary bad, but just not how I envisioned. I ran into a lot of issues with the skirt during the construction I found I need to add more fabric to my fuku. Considering this process of making fukus was entirely new to me, I'm pretty happy with the results.
