About this Costume
Construction Details:
The top and granny panties are made from a burgandy knit that I found. It’s nice and stretchy and was easy to work with. I used a swimsuit pattern and altered it a bit for the top. It clasps behind the neck and velcros on the side. It’s pretty form fitting, but I can still move around in it with ease and comfort. I sewed the brown wedding sheer in the front for the see-through part. I thought it’d take a few tries, but I managed to get it to work onf the first time through! I then painted the designs on the top with gold 3-D fabric (puffy) paint. This took FOREVER to dry.

“For the pants I chose a sparkly pink wedding sheer that I managed to find on sale, and I bought way too much of it. I used a pattern for the pants of a genie outfit, and they worked out amazing! It has elastic in the waist and in each ankle for a close fit. It was surprisngly easy to work with.

“For the giant fuscia colored bow I used a nice and shiny satin that I found for about $5 a yard. I needed a lot though, to get a bow that big. I sewed a long rectangle about 12 feet long. It’s wrapped around my waist and then tied into the big bow. It’s stays secure with a nice tight knot.

“I bought the shoes at the Payless Shoe Source that I work at. I used the remaining fuscia satin and covered them in it, glue it right to the shoe. They’re kinda of stretchy, so they look a little like dance shoes, and they are really comfortable.

Wig Review
“I bought the wig from Hellocosplay.com after loving the wig I got for T-Elos. It was a good price and shipped fast. It’s a nice bright color! I’m planning on evnetually stubbing it and making the proper ponytail and bun as seen in the art, but for now it’s just in a long ponytail with bangs. It’s quite heavy though—I glued two little combs in the front and back so it would hold to my head easier.”
