Construction Details:

This is one of the simplest and warmest cosplay costumes I have. It has a lot of layers, leggins, skirt, leg warmers, undershirt, jacket, hat, and belt, and are made out of fleece, cotton, and faux suede. The hardest part of this costume was making the jacket to match the anime and keeping the leg warmers closure up (it has a tendency to slide down). My favorite part of this costume were the frog buttons on the jacket. I had to learn how to make them by hand.

Styling Notes

To style this wig I took a section of hair by the face on each side and pinned it out of the way (these will be the face framing pieces later). then I pulled the rest of the hair back and braided it. After braiding, I wrapped the hair in a circle around the head like a very large, flat bun and pinned it in place with a lot of bobby pins. After pinning the braid, I pulled the hat over to hide the bulk of the hair. Then I let down the face framing pieces and the look is complete.
