About this Costume

- Originally made in 2003 then re-made in 2010. I just did some more updates on the costume and re-did the wig for 2011. Plan to so more photos but heres what I got for now!
-I really love Alita her character is so awesome. I think out of every character I cosplay as I fit Haruhi and Alita the most. As physical appearance goes I think Alita works more for me because of her small size. I think we are a lot a like in being very protective of people that we care about. She seem really sweet nice and cute until you piss her off. Not really a girl to mess with she really has two sides.
-I will be doing Holiday Haruhi next week for X-mas. I might also take pictures of Lana depending. I am debating it now since I did this because it was so freaking freezing outside!!!! O.O
A little about the costume:
So This took maybe a month to just make the wing. I obviously couldn't take all the progress photos for it because there was welding involved.
I decided to stay true to Battle Angel and all the pieces found ALL of them are found in a scrap yard yes even the little tiny tiny tiny pieces. Am I crazy??? Most likely..
So then I welding them all together after carefully calculating everything and how to add it on after I put on my jacket. How to construct the harness and all that. Some pieces were put on in other ways if they were too small I didn't want to ruin them with the welding since they took me forever to find them. I may have spend a total of 3 hours in a scrap yard.
I sanded all the rust off all the pieces that are never going to be seen because the harness will be covering it. I did however buy the fabric thread and buttons but that was it. The I later added the feather to make a wonder contrast. All the work was worth it to me I loooovee Battle Angel!
