Construction Details:

Everything on this costume was done by yours truely.

The wig was a 60" Hi-Temp Series Golden Blonde Extra Long Wig from DNA wigs that I cut and styled and added the beads to.

The costume was many different fabrics, The shirt was a red poplin, red duck cloth and marine pleatheer (gold design was made with Jaquered paints). The shoulder pieces were made out of a thick craft foam. The pants were also a red poplin, shoes were originally water shoes that were covered with white interlock and hand painted with fabric paint and puff paint. The sword is mainly wood with wood filler for the detailing along the blade itself and the hilt is a combination of fast mache and light weight sculpy.

The helmet started off as a cheap plastic conquistador's helmet that was cannibalized for its shape and covered in duct tape. Then covered in paper clay. Sanded....forever sanded. The feathers are Ostrich plumes.

Personal Thoughts:

This costume was, and still is, one of my favorites. Probably took the most work out of everything I've ever done so far.

Styling Notes

LOOOTS of cutting. If its not tied back it's a really ridiculous mullet. When the helmets off you can see the short hair I cut

Wig Review

a little thin at the top if you start cutting off the length but adding wefts would definitely help thicken it
