Construction Details:

Those wings. Those terrible, terrible wings. And they are articulated. I wanted to make his full spread wings instead of the tiny little things most people make, and I also wanted them to articulate like bird wings. The result is that these can be folded almost flat against my back and released so that they have about an 8' span and make me 8' high. The structure is pvc pipe heat-shaped to curve organically. There is a pivot joint where they attach to my harness, a ball joint at my shoulder, a hinge under the tuft where they fold down, and another hinge near the top to allow the last 10" to bounce. I love these wings.

Styling Notes

The spikes are not perfect. I'm getting better at that. The crown of laurels is made from gold aluminum cut into flower shapes and attached to a gold tube. The whole thing is sewn into my wig.

Wig Review

It holds together much better than the Punky (Cheaper) wig I used for L back in the day, but the fibers are still a bit too frizzy for those beautiful, exact spikes I've seen other cosplayers achieve.
