Construction Details:

I made the skirt and top from white cotton polar fleece which was super cozy outside, and way too hot during Main Events. In the hem of the skirt, I sewed in a piece of elastic to get it to bunch at the bottom. I cut the dress on one side, folded over an edge and sewed it back up to make the side seam whatchamacallit. I made the belt from some leftover broadcloth from my LION cosplay, it attaches with velcro. The buckle is craft foam. The "ears" are made from fleece and casa satin, they have floral wire in them to keep shape. They're pinned to the back of the dress. The capes I made from broadcloth (lower) and more fleece and casa satin (upper). All of the ribbon is hotglued because I did not feel like finagling with ribbon AND fleece on my sewing machine. All of the details (like the cherries) are hotglued as well, and the edges are coated in clear nail varnish so they won't fray.
