Easiest costume I've ever done, but I love the character a lot and wanted to throw together something quickly the month before Fanime!
I went with a black bodysuit instead of suntan, like the one she wears in the manga, since I couldn't find a suntan leotard or unitard with a mockneck or turtleneck and long sleeves. (This ended up being a leotard and tights, if anyone was curious). Turns out, she wears a very smilar outfit with a black bodysuit in the film, so it still works!
The top is just an oversized white Tshirt that I ripped the sleeves off of and cut to the correct length. I took in the sides a little to make it slightly more fitted, but keep in mind that this was designed in the late '80s, so a loose-fitting cropped tee was actually stylish.
The briefs are some sort of white bottomweight I was laying around forever and silver vinyl for the waistband. They zipper up the back, and the waistband snaps open and is loose in the back so I can put my ammo pouch (err... camera case) on it, as well as slip a gun into the waistband if needed.
This outfit was actually incredibly comfortable to wear! A bit hot in the summer, but not too bad. Sadly, the only people to recognize the costume were the voice actors from the series, and no one took my picture, but it was still a lot of fun to wear.
