I was never really a fan of Undertaker in the earlier volumes, but seriously, how can you read the ship arc and NOT want to cosplay him? ^_^;
The most fun I had with this costume -- besides being in character -- is all the props and detail work. The Victorian hair lockets, the jewelry, the prosthetic work for the face, the sotoba, the skeleton scythe... And let's not forget the bone-shaped sugar cookies! (Oh yes, I have them!) Plus I had a skull flask, spiderweb fingernails, a gravestone prop and other fun accessories. Huzzah for Halloween clearance sales.
My overcoat is huge; I wanted to be able to replicate the image where he whips out the sotoba, so it has extra panels in the skirt to make it a giant flared mass of wind effect. I think it's about 12 feet in circumference.
About 75% of the costume, including the wig and props, was assembled in the three days leading up to the convention. Last minute FTW.
