About this Costume
- Construction Details:
-
This costume took me about a week to put together. The neck collar, skirt and bows are made from Symphony Cotton. I'm not a big fan of shiny so I stuck with cotton. I also stayed away from a circle skirt and choose to do a simple pleated skirt with a zipper in the back. The rolls on the skirt are spandex with quilt batting to give then some shape. The brooch is made of light weight scupley, store bought gems with gold acrylic paint. The hair clips and tiara are made from gems I resin casted myself and craftfoam. The chest armor is stretch poplin and modified from a leotard pattern. (I'm planning on remaking this) The boots are gogo boots bought off ebay and modified with a V-cut with bias tape sewn on and the moons hand sewn on.

- Styling Notes
- The wig started off as a Chibi wig from Arda. I carefully pulled the pigtails higher until I had the desired height and then stubbed both tails. I then hollowed out 2 3in styrofoam balls and used the excess hair fromthe pigtails to cover them. I also bought a long ponytail clip in Ash Blonde because I was unsure buying wefts from a different company and not having an exact match. I gathered two pieces tied them off and glued them in place on the stubs (also glued to make sure none of the hair in the tails would come loose.) ANd then attached the buns.
