Construction Details:

Basically this costume got started back in 2001 and has been in a bag in storage. I picked it back up in 2013 and have procrastinated and worked on it bit by bit. It was mostly completed for Anime USA 2015. I still want to rework some of it, but it was quite wearable at con.

Styling Notes

So this one required watching a few Youtube vids and reading some tutorials on how to do herringbone braids. They are quite simple to do after you get the concept. I added some small wefts near the temples to compensate for hair that is pulled back into the side braids. This is the first lace front wig I have worked with and it is worth every penny. I was surprised how inexpensive the Dahlia wig was compared to other lace front wigs of this length. Anyway, the quality of the fiber is amazing.
