Construction Details:

I used the Simplicity "bobby sockers" pattern, cursing the collar the entire time. I hate lapel style collars. I used my favorite fabric ever - stretch sateen - and dyed the pieces for the sleeve cuffs, skirt and collar using iDye in Turquoise, then iDye Poly in Blue and finally Rit liquid in Evening Blue to get the color I was looking for. Buttons are fully functional purple sparkly flowers, and are actually meant for little kids clothing. All of the seams are serged, and the skirt is hemmed with bias tape because I'm lazy and hate circle skirts, and has a snap above the zipper to keep it closed. Tights are from WeLoveColors, and shoes are from Funtasma (I didn't really feel like getting rollerskates just for this - yet). Apron was slightly modified from the apron that came with the pattern, and the waist ties are actually a spool of ribbon that I cut in half and sewed into the apron.

Personal Thoughts:

Made this for myself and a matching one for my friend to wear on Sunday at AB! It was fun running around as waitresses and being all pervy up on her. :D She deals with it so well.

Styling Notes

Added a "long bangs" that I took apart and turned into wefts for the bangs, so I would have some extra hair to work with and make things the proper thickness. Spikes aren't really my thing for wig styling though. Herp a derp.
