About this Costume
Construction Details:
Sailor Fuku-collar and skirt are made from green symphony collection cotton. The bows are made from fabric from stretch sateen. The leotard is bought and altered with the sleeves being cut off and sewn. The chest armor is made of 2- way stretch poplin to make it look stiff and is detatchable from the leotard. I choose to put the sleeves on the armor instead of the leotard because it looked as if it were attached to the armor instead of the leotard underneath

The tiara is made from craftfoam, heated and shaped, then painted with gold acrylic paint and then sealed with elmer's school glue. THe gem on the tiara and the heart on the front bow are resin casted. The gloves are bought and altered with the green being the same fabric as the collar and skirt.

The shoes were orginally black with black shoe laces but I painted them with DM Design spray paint which can be used on most materials. They still hold their natural leather look even after the paint.
Personal Thoughts:
I love Sailor Jupiter/Makoto Kino. I pretty much relate to her the most in the Sailor Moon series. This is also my favorite costume to wear and is pretty much a must bring to most conventions for me. It's comfortable and very easy to pack since any folds in the fabric can be ironed out quickly in the hotel room!

Styling Notes
In 2010, I used an EpicCosplay wig. -Pulled into a ponytail with the pony curls relaxed a little bit with an iron on low setting. I then tried styling a lace front wig which I liked but I still wasn't satisfied. Most recent photos are my natural hair with a clip in ponytail, which I like the best.
Wig Review
With this costume I prefer the method of using my real hair with a clip in ponytail. It seemed to create the best results.
