About this Costume
- Construction Details:

Big ol' Kaiji fan here. I love the hell out of the series and have wanted to cosplay from it forever but I can't pull off anyone but Mikoko due to my...womanly shapes. Then, magically, someone I barely knew did a Genderbend Kaiji cosplay at Kumoricon 2011. We bonded over our love for the series and geeked out hard. A few weeks after that I decided I was going to bust out a Genderbend Sahara cosplay to go along with her Kaiji. That's my actual hair, I spike my hair a lot and try to make it look kinda like Sahara's. I bleached the pink streaks I had in it out and a friend of mine cut my hair shorter. The tank top I got at old navy for free with a credit I had for about a year. I painted on the decal with fabric paint. The shirt was a light green mens dress shirt I got at goodwill and dyed. I had to take it in a buttload, take up the sleeves a lot and hem the bottom. I made the patches out of random fabric I had laying around my house. The number was just made out of some fabric I had laying around and bias tape. I painted on the 7 with fabric paint. Pants, shoes, and belt were already owned.
- Personal Thoughts:
- I spent an entire $6 on this cosplay, I don't think I'm going to ever beat my cheapest cosplay now.
