About this Costume
- Construction Details:
-
This is the costume that inspired me to sew, and still this costume has that special meaning to me and remains one of my top fav costumes I own. Originally this was made as a halloween costume but it became a convention costume. The dress and pinafore are made of cotton, the top is lined as well as the pinafore, the pinafore is also attached right to the dress. The bow is a seperate piece that snaps onto the belt back. The skull is just a styrofoam halloween decoration that was the right size for the bow knot. The boots I had already, originally they were my Yuna gunner boots, I just laced them with black string. The horeshoe pendant is made of sculpy clay and painted silver. The Jabberwock eyestaff was made by The Letter Jay, he put the whole thing together and I painted it. The vorpal blade is just a machete I bought at halloween time..I do plan on making a replica of it based off the Madness Returns version.
- Personal Thoughts:
- I can't stress enough my love of this costume, it is the reason why I cosplay today. My determination to own this costume is what made me try my hand at sewing..and now look at how many costumes I have XD. This will forever be that "special" costume to me :)
