Construction Details:

Grell's a bit of a work in progress, and currently a mix of made stuff, bought stuff, and stuff in my closet XD The main thing currently made was the vest, which was modded from a tux shop rental so I could get the backless look. The back is not adjustable, but the neck is, so I can work with that as necessary. Vest is made of stuff I had in my stash..in fact, the collar fabric and buttons were from my first recreated costume (Lucius Malfoy), and the vest fabric was silk I set aside for part of another project. The tie was a bit of striped seersucker I found at JoAnn's. The shirt was a cheap buy at Marshalls, pants and gloves were already on hand. Glasses came with the wig, which I really need to beat into submission XD. The coat is still coming...I have all the materials, but I need to get on making it.

Personal Thoughts:

I was originally planning on Madame Red, but all the sudden I was watching the anime and Grell stole the show on her. A crazy redhead with shark teeth and a CHAINSAW? Count me in on THAT business. Grell is really only intended as something comfortable for the halls or photos from time to time, especially since I have so few costumes of that nature. I really REALLY want to make the Dental Distortions teeth work for me..they are too big for my mouth, so I've been settling for my own teeth or a pair of fangs. But I have the DD set and I'm going to try to see what I can do to reduce the appearance of wearing a hockey mouth guard :P

Grell is kind of a work in progress, so by no means perfectly presently, but I'm hoping to keep tweeking him.
