Construction Details:

Felixize requested that I join her Tales of Vesperia group as Estelle. I really liked her character design, so I agreed- if I had known how much I was getting myself in for, I might have thought twice! This costume took a lot of thought in regards to pattern work- I first made paper patterns, then made scrap fabric patterns and then finally sewed the costume with the proper fabric- and even then I still made a few tweaks at the last minute to get the shape that I wanted. The gloves themselves took 7 remakes until I developed the ones that I'm wearing in these photos. They're still not perfect but I'm happy with them! This costume is still in progress, I'm planning on fixing the boots, getting a new wig and making a shield and one of Estelle's weapons. We're planning a big Vesperia photoshoot hopefully in 2012 with a full cast. I'm really looking forward to it!
