About this Costume
- Construction Details:

My friend and I thought that the actual dresses from this series were too plain, so we took some liberties to give them a little more flair. Instead of just flat magenta, I used a sparkly sheer pink on my dress. She used a sheer white with iridescent sequins for Kuranosuke's and added more beads.
I know that some people don't like when cosplayers alter a character's design, but I thought it was necessary in this case. Those dresses were WAY too simple looking to win a fashion show... or in our case, a masquerade.
I didn't want to use the long, stringy, patchy fur that my local Joann's had for the cape and legwarmers, so I used a microfleece blanket instead. The fur is suuuuper soft and very warm!
Clara was made from a plush octopus pattern that I drafted. - Personal Thoughts:
- First time making a dress! It was really easy!
