The majority of work on this costume was in making the Lekku (head tentacles). After trying many different techniques I settled on using the following method. I serged a pair of panty hose into the correct shape and placed them over a bald cap. I placed fishing weights into the ends of the lekku. Using model magic I created two stump forms for the lekku bases. I attached the stumps to the bald cap, under the panty hose and then filled the panty hose with polyfil micro beads. I then hot glued the panty hose to the bald cap. I used 3 layers of liquid latex over the pantyhose and finshied it with acrylic pain. The head band was made using heatformed Fosshape covered in white vinyl. I edged it with rolled white vinyl. The ear stumps were made using model magic as well. I added the studs and chin chains as finishing touchs. The forehead medallion was made using thin cardboard and paint. After final set there were some lumpy parts to the lekku which I filled in with gap foam. The collars were made using child sized belts. I painted them and added the acrylic jewels. The jumpsuits were made using a net fabric. For warmth/modesty's sake we lined the jumpsuits with a crushed velvet(only fabric that matched our body paint correctly) turned inside out. The pattern for the jumpsuits was hand drafted using muslin. Took 1.5-2 hours to paint our bodies!
