Construction Details:

The coat and cape are both made from a black bottomweight suiting. The coat is fully lined (with a dark blue), and I only realized after that I made it longer than it was supposed to be. I think it looks better my way! Then I lined the cape and capelet with a bright blue casa satin and added a matching ribbon around my neck. I used a cross pendant rather than a matching button on one side of the capelet because that way it better resembled all the other Nightrays' outfits, even though I don't have an accurate crest.

Personal Thoughts:

This costume is so HEAVY and SO HOT. I need to find a better way of anchoring the cape on my shoulders (snaps aren't good enough, apparently), and no matter how many times I press my seams it doesn't seem flat enough... Oh, well. I REALLY, REALLY love Elliot. He was my favorite from the time he appeared in the manga and not just when THAT ONE THING HAPPENED and everyone decided he was their favorite, too. You posers. :p But yeah, I worked really hard on this costume and am pretty proud of it. I love being Elliot and hope to get some good wear out of this in the future.
